Space travel has never looked so good

Elon Musk's recent activities at SpaceX have been nothing short of groundbreaking, especially with the successful launch of Starship 5 test flight on October 13, 2024. This event marked a significant step towards the goal of using the rocket to transport the next generation of astronauts to the moon in collaboration with NASA. What truly captivated the world during this launch was the remarkable feat of the rocket booster separating and autonomously returning to the original launch pad. This innovative feature is reminiscent of the convenience of a drone's return home button, illustrating the level of technological advancement achieved by SpaceX.

The SpaceX Starship Flight 5 was powered by an impressive array of 33 engines, which propelled the spacecraft into subspace, reaching a distance of approximately 73 miles from Earth. At the 2:45-minute mark into the flight, the booster separation occurred, initiating the booster's autonomous journey back to the designated catch site.
